Smart pheromone traps, equipped with a camera, specific pheromones, and sticky plates are used to monitor insect appearance. Advanced algorithms count the number of caught insects thus providing insight into population dynamics.

A number of daily caught insects is presented in graph view providing decision support for defining the optimal time for applying insecticides.
